Note that GPX files are GPS Exchange Format text files in XML format. *.trail files are binary trail files in a format created by Hikers Assistant+ on iOS. *.atrl files are binary trail files in a format created by Hikers Assistant+ on Android. The two binary formats are not readable by the other version of HA+, but are smaller than GPX files. Either version of HA+ creates a GPX file that can be used in either app, or in any software application that reads GPX. Note that *.trail/*.atrl files may not be properly recognized as binary files when attempting a download. If not, try to do a Save Link As... and make sure that the default file type is not text. NOTE: Routes and waypoints created by 'tracing' maps can vary from their actual locations; they are only as accurate as their map source.
